Elaine MacVean was born in New Jersey and grew up in Wisconsin. She learned the art of customer service at a young age from the restaurant her parents owned and operated. From there she went on to culinary school and became a chef, which brought her to Palm Beach of Florida in 2001. Two years later she began the search for her first home and found it in Port St Lucie, purchasing it at 25 years old. She loves spending time with her family, cooking, fishing, golfing, and travelling. She has 2 dogs now, but at one point Elaine had a collection of 28 different animals, including an assortment of reptiles, skunks, and dogs.
Elaine had a lot of issues with the purchase of her first home, at the forefront of this was the real estate agent never really explaining the process to her. She was recommended an inspector who had no licensing, went through multiple appraisers, and at one point even had to switch lenders. The problems didn’t stop there; the home had many issues not caught by the inspector like major electrical issues. Wanting to take action and educate herself, Elaine took an abridged real estate course. From this she eventually tool the state course and passed; ever since it’s been her goal to protect home buyers in their greatest purchase.
Her motivation to always do right by her clients and do her best spring forth from her family. Her parents immigrated over from Hong Kong and China and she has watched them work harder than anyone else to provide for the family. They have inspired her to work hard and do right by others, and to give her own family the opportunities her parents gave to her.
